Tabit Ventures, along with family partners, passionately believes in the merit of historic restoration, real estate, and new construction — and its importance for the community.
Both sides of Mark and Jill Tabit’s family have deep roots in real estate. Back in the 1920’s, Mark Tabit’s grandfather Andrew (and Andrew’s brother Joe Tabit) started T & T Real Estate Holdings. Jill Tabit’s brother, Mike Origer (along with her sister Sally Joyce) is in the family business of father Tom Origer’s real estate company that he launched in the fifties.
Tabit Ventures has concentrated on the Santa Monica area, and has been restoring and refurbishing a number of properties.
Past and present properties include 1056 7th Street, 2438 5th Street, 921 16th Street, 531 Arbramar Street, and Santa Monica Conservancy Rehabilitation “Project of the Year” award-winner, 1047 9th Street.
“Every once in a while you uncover a treasure that is truly special,” said Mark Tabit. “401 Ocean Avenue is that place. We feel privileged and honored to be the third owner – and look forward to bringing back its original luster.”

Historic restoration creates experiential touchpoints that communities can be reminded of their story, of their heritage — and can create a ‘sense of belonging’ in a profound way.
